The retractable gates are made from a steel lattice measuring 15mm x 5mm.
The uprights are made from 2.5mm U shaped steel.This profile provides a very strong design.
The rollers the gates run on are made from a hardwearing plastic surrounded by a rubber ring to reduce any noise from using the gates.The roller is fitted in place with a chrome rivet.The rollers make moving the retractable gates back very easy.If something is easy to use you are more likely to use it regularly.
The tracks of the gate come in either a standard U shape track or a T shape track.The standard track is suitable for most applications but the T track is useful for those specialist jobs that require something slightly different.
The retractable gates can be locked using various systems.
The most common method of locking the gates is by using a strong push button lock.
All you have to do is push the button to lock the gate,that is it ! This is normally used on internal applications and it can be made so that all the keys are same so you have plenty of spare keys if fitting several gates.
Another option is to fit an adamsrite type hook lock operated by a euro cylinder.This allows the gate to be opened from either side of the gate making it suitable for retractable gates across alleyways or entrances.
the final option is to secure the gate with a padlock fixing.This is especially suitable for external gates across shop fronts.
The colour of the gates is determined by you the customer.Most popular is white or black but we can supply retractable gates in virtually any colour you like depending on your requirements.It is also possible to colour match the retractable gates to existing colour schemes you may have.
The gates are powder coated which forms a very durable finish over the gates surface.This type of finish is also virtually maintenance free requiring only a quick wipe over with a cloth every now and then to maintain its appearance.
Lift up tracks and removeable tracks allow your retractable gates to be fitted to areas without fear of anyone tripping over the track when the gate is not in use.This means complying with disability discrimination act regulations are not a problem as far as walkways go.
